WEEKLY VIDEO CLIP on BLOGGING!
My goal for the rest of the semester is to post some sort of video clip about blogging every week or two; sometimes they will be serious and sometimes they won’t be! The one this week definitely IS NOT SERIOUS. It is a 4 minute video clip from a guy from India named Wilber Sargunaraj. It is titled ‘Blog Song’and even though it is silly, it is ‘a must see for people who use the internet to get their voice heard’. I find it so amazing that you can see how people on the other side of the world feel about blogging. The music is catchy, the dancing is entertaining and the message is still relevant. Just one thing: ‘Please check my blog!’ WARNING: Do not listen to this before you go to bed or you will be extremely sorry!
Next weeks clip: ‘Why let our students blog?’

This sounds like afun way to keep posting on your blog. Wonder if itmwould be fun to use the video clips for students in your class. they could talk to students around the world about science.
This was great! My daughter came into the room while I was watching and asked about it. She thought he was saying “he took my bra”! It was so funny. As we were watching the last 30 seconds, he also grabs his breast as part of his dance (he means nothing by it I’m sure) so she didn’t believe me when I told her what he was really saying. Then I had to explain the whole Blog logic to her. She is only 11, so that was a huge conversation. She couldn’t understand why someone would create such a video and believe others would visit his blog based on the video. Quite funny!
I really like the idea of putting video clips on blogs. I saw a story on the news a while back that talked about a trend of even older people posting videos on the web. The example they used was one woman who was showing showed how to cook dishes. Video technology has really evolved to a point where producing simple videos is really accessible for a wider audience. It also a great way to mix things up on a blog.
This is great fun. How ever do you find these things? I’m looking forward to your next selection!
